The Level 2 Allergy Safety in Schools (Benedict’s Law Training) course is designed to help schools create a safer environment for children with food allergies and to ensure that staff understand their responsibilities in managing allergy risks in educational settings.
This accredited course provides learners with a clear understanding of food allergies, allergic reactions, and anaphylaxis, as well as the practical steps schools should take to reduce the risk of allergen exposure and respond effectively in an emergency. Learners will explore how allergies affect children, the importance of early recognition of symptoms, and the correct use of adrenaline auto-injectors (AAIs).
The course also covers the legal and safeguarding responsibilities of schools, including the growing focus on allergy safety through Benedict’s Law and wider UK guidance surrounding allergy management in educational environments. Learners will understand the importance of whole-school allergy awareness, communication, emergency planning, and supporting pupils with medical needs.
